Privacy Policy

Wild Paw Club Academy

Privacy Policy & Terms of Service • Effective Date: 2026

Overview — Definitions & Scope

This document combines a Privacy Policy (Part One) and Terms of Service (Part Two), followed by general terms that apply to both (Part Three). It governs the use of wildpawclub.com (the Academy), the online dog-training school operated under the trade name Wild Paw Club, through which Wild Paw Club Academy offers video courses, memberships, a free five-day email course, and trainer feedback.

By using the Academy, creating an account, subscribing to its emails, or purchasing a course or membership, a person agrees to both the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service set out below. Anyone who does not agree should not use the Academy.

0.1 Defined Terms

The Academy means the website at wildpawclub.com and the courses, memberships, content, emails, and features made available through it.

Student. Any person who visits, creates an account with, subscribes to emails from, or enrols through the Academy is referred to as a Student.

The Wild Paw Parties. Wild Paw Club together with its owner, operators, trainers, contractors, contributors, and agents are referred to collectively as the Wild Paw Parties.

0.2 Order of Precedence

If a conflict arises between the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service, the provision more specific to the matter in question controls. The general terms in Part Three apply to both. Wild Paw Club operates the Academy as a trade name and does not disclose a separate legal entity or physical address through the Academy.

Part One — Privacy Policy

¶ 1 — Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

A Student may provide: a name and email address when creating an account or requesting the free course; a password, stored in hashed form; billing details when purchasing, which are entered with and processed by a third-party payment processor and are not stored by Wild Paw Club; training video clips a Student chooses to upload for feedback; and the contents of any message sent through a contact form or email.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When a Student uses the Academy, certain technical information is recorded automatically, which may include IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring and exit pages, lesson progress, and dates and times of access. This information helps keep the Academy secure and working properly.

1.3 Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Academy uses cookies and similar technologies to keep a Student signed in, remember preferences, understand how the courses are used, and measure the performance of pages and emails. Most browsers allow cookies to be refused or deleted; doing so may affect how parts of the Academy function. Where required by law, consent is requested before non-essential cookies are set.

¶ 2 — Cookies and Tracking

Cookies set through the Academy are used to operate the service, to keep a session active, and to measure engagement with lessons and emails in aggregate. A Student can manage cookies through browser settings; essential cookies are needed for sign-in and cannot be switched off without affecting access to purchased content.

¶ 3 — How We Use Information

Information collected through the Academy is used to:

  • create and administer accounts and provide access to purchased courses and memberships;
  • process payments and manage subscriptions, renewals, and cancellations through the payment processor;
  • deliver the free five-day email course, the newsletter, and lesson or account messages a Student has requested;
  • provide trainer feedback on uploaded clips on plans that include it;
  • operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Academy and its content;
  • respond to questions and support requests; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce this document.

¶ 4 — Email Communications and Your Choices

Marketing and informational emails, including the free five-day course and the newsletter, are sent only to a Student who has opted in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and a Student may opt out at any time; the request will be honored promptly. Transactional messages about an account, a purchase, or a subscription may still be sent, as they are not promotional. This practice is intended to comply with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act.

¶ 5 — How We Share Information

Personal information is not sold or rented. It may be shared only as described here.

5.1 Service Providers

Information may be shared with vendors that perform functions on behalf of Wild Paw Club, such as website and video hosting, the payment processor that handles purchases and subscriptions, email-delivery platforms, and analytics providers. These vendors may use information only to perform their services and are bound by confidentiality obligations.

5.2 Legal and Protective Disclosures

Information may be disclosed where required to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a governmental request, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Wild Paw Club, its Students, or others.

5.3 Business Transfers

If the business operated under the trade name Wild Paw Club is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.

¶ 6 — Third-Party Links and Services

The Academy may link to third-party websites, tools, or resources that Wild Paw Club does not control, including the Wild Paw Club blog and the payment processor. Those third parties have their own privacy practices, for which Wild Paw Club is not responsible. A Student should review the privacy policy of any third-party site before providing information to it.

¶ 7 — Data Security

Reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards are maintained to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration, including encryption in transit where appropriate, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed. A Student is responsible for keeping their account password confidential.

¶ 8 — Data Retention

Information is kept only for as long as needed to provide the Academy, to maintain account, transaction, and tax records, and to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, after which it is deleted or de-identified. A Student who unsubscribes may still be kept on a suppression list so that no further marketing is sent. Uploaded training clips are retained only as long as needed to provide feedback and may be deleted on request.

¶ 9 — Your Privacy Rights

9.1 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used and shared, to request access to or deletion of their personal information, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights. Personal information is not sold, and there is no "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. Requests may be made using the contact details in Part Three (see ¶ 33).

9.2 Access, Correction, and Deletion

Any Student may request access to the personal information held about them, ask that it be corrected, or ask that it be deleted. Identity will be verified before a request is fulfilled, and some information may be retained where law permits or requires.

¶ 10 — Rights in the EEA and United Kingdom

Students in the EEA or the UK have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection with respect to their personal information, and may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. Processing relies on performance of a contract (to provide courses and memberships), consent (for marketing emails), and legitimate interests in operating and improving the Academy. Complaints may be lodged with a local supervisory authority.

¶ 11 — Children’s Privacy

The Academy is directed to adult dog owners and is not intended for use by children. Personal information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 18 years of age, and in no case from a child under 13. If it is learned that such information has been collected, it will be deleted promptly.

¶ 12 — Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Because no common industry standard governs how "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals should be interpreted, the Academy responds to them only to the extent required by applicable law.

Part Three — General Terms

¶ 29 — Dispute Resolution and Binding Arbitration

29.1 Informal Resolution

Before starting any formal proceeding, a Student agrees to first contact Wild Paw Club at the address below and to try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days.

29.2 Agreement to Arbitrate

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the Academy or this document that is not resolved informally will be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect. The arbitration will be conducted remotely by videoconference where possible, or otherwise in the United States. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

29.3 Exceptions

Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and Wild Paw Club may seek injunctive relief in court to protect its intellectual property or stop unauthorized access. These matters are not subject to arbitration.

29.4 Class-Action Waiver

All disputes will be resolved on an individual basis. A Student and Wild Paw Club each waive any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action, and the arbitrator may not preside over any form of representative proceeding. If this class-action waiver is found unenforceable as to any claim, then the agreement to arbitrate does not apply to that claim, which will instead proceed in court.

29.5 Opt-Out

A Student may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to the contact email below within thirty (30) days of first accepting this document. A valid opt-out does not affect any other provision.

¶ 30 — Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This document and any dispute arising under it are governed by the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. To the extent any matter is not subject to arbitration as described above, it will be brought exclusively in the competent federal courts of the United States, and each Student consents to the jurisdiction of those courts.

¶ 31 — Changes to This Document

This document may be updated from time to time. When it is, the revised version will be posted at wildpawclub.com with a new effective date, and the updated terms apply from the date of posting. For material changes affecting a subscription, notice will be given before the next renewal. Continued use of the Academy after a change means the change is accepted.

¶ 32 — General Provisions

32.1 Severability

If any provision of this document is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will stay in full force.

32.2 Survival

The provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including the disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, no-refund policy, and dispute-resolution terms — survive any termination of a Student’s account or access.

32.3 Entire Agreement

This document, consisting of the Privacy Policy, the Terms of Service, and these general terms, is the entire agreement between a Student and Wild Paw Club regarding the Academy and supersedes any prior understanding on that subject.

32.4 Assignment

A Student may not assign their rights under this document without prior written consent. Wild Paw Club may assign it freely, including in connection with any transfer of the business operated under its trade name.

32.5 No Waiver

A failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.

32.6 Force Majeure

Wild Paw Club is not responsible for any failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
